What do we do in the DR ? 

I LOVE THIS MINISTRY. 

Mission of Hope’s goal is to transform lives through church advancement, nutrition, education, and medical care. They are originally based in Haiti and recently opened another base in the DR. 

Their ministry is called SMT or Strategic Ministry Time. It’s all about quality conversations with the community to know how to serve them best. We partner with local pastors. Each week we serve with a pastor who takes us out into his community in small teams with translators. In the communities we walk around and often get invited into homes. We talk about their lives and their relationships with the Lord. We learn their stories and their needs. Sometimes we do all the encouraging and other times we leave encouraged. Ministry here is what you make it. I love it and I’m sure it’s something I’ll continue even at home.
