as i lay here in my bed, at 10:15, i’m reminded of the joy and growth that came from costa rica. i fell in love with the people, with ministry, with Jesus, and with myself. i think of all the laughs, cooking breakfast with align on thursdays, literally countless pb&j’s, dance ministry, the people i met in evangelism. i am reminded of the many chikys, grocery runs, early morning french presses with Gretch & Brent, and deep conversations about faith and going deeper with Him. the list could go on and on. i am amazed by what God did and so expectant of all the things He’s going to do.

costa, you brought me freedom. you brought me dance. when we first heard about our ministry, i was nervous. then i met all the wonderful, handpicked people God had there. & boy ohhh boy was i amazed. a ministry where you get to bring every ounce of yourself to the table and it will be met with open hands and grace. each one of the ambassadors at “Til He Returns” invested so much into all 33 of us every single day. Every single day showing up, getting filled up, and then pouring out.

I remember one day my team was on English Club. We were waiting on the students to arrive. Me as well as a couple people on my team had been struggling with a multitude of things. Rachel, someone who has too many titles to list, stopped us, asked us what was wrong, and prayed for each of us. as she prayed, i could literally feel the weight being lifted off. this is just one example of us being so loved by the people at ministry.

costa rica, you showed me a love i don’t find many places. a love that radiates from every encounter. a love that is truly from the Father. it was an honor to serve you as well as be served by you. until next time, chow
