At this point, Covid should have it’s own blog section for us 2020 racers. I don’t really know how to type what I have to say into words, but I’m going to try my best.

I have COVID…

I guess that’s one way to say it. Luckily, for me, I had a sore throat and a little stuffy nose. There are so many unknowns in this season of my life. More unknown than ever. I’m sure a lot of you are nodding your head, agreeing with that last sentence. When I signed up for the race, I had no idea that this is where I would be. I never saw COVID coming, haha. I never thought my training camp would last 3 months. I never thought I would grow this close with 38 people in such a short time. I never considered how much growth every aspect of my life would actually experience. I NEVER thought that one week without my new community would feel like this.

But, God.

God is ALWAYS enough! This gives me time to catch up with friends and family at home. I will now be home for a wedding I was really sad to miss. More time with my pups??!! YES! I get time to rest, IN A BED!! I get to still pursue the same God I was pursuing in Georgia. He is good; yesterday, today, and forever more. He is steadfast.

Our plan:

I will now be home until launch in January. My squad will return to the base in Gainesville, Ga to get covid tested right after new years and then we will be launching to . . .

COSTA RICA AHHHHHH!!!

Thank you all for the continual prayers and support. I ask that you pray for health over my squad (physical, mental, and spiritual). Pray over our families, as this is just as new to them! You guys are the best and I don’t know where I would be without each of you!

All the love and prayers,

Kaylin 🙂
