dad. wow! what a man of honor, truth, grace, and protection. I’ve looked up to you since the day I was born. You’ve had my back, in every aspect, since I was just a thought in your head. You’ve never failed to kiss it better, to call me beautiful, to tell me that i’m smart, and to remind me my worth. You showed me a glimpse of my Heavenly Fathers love. I am reminded by every text or call just how loved I am.
How crazy is it that we get to access our Heavenly Father all the time. That we get to sit and rest in His arms. That we get to know when we are in His presence we are safe. That He will go into battle all day everyday for you. If you don’t have an earthly father in your life, know that your Heavenly Father is waiting on you to come home with His arms W I D E open.
oh, mama! i love you, i love you, i love you. Your confidence, your bravery, and your boldness astonish me. You fought for me. You are always a source of comfort. You feel like home. I know I am always welcome in your space and have a seat at your table. You see me, right where I am. You meet me there. Every time I run, you run harder and faster to reach me. You never give up.
I think the Father also has a motherly side. He comforts you. He wants to be your home. He is literally saving you a seat beside Him right now. He will never give up on you.
mom & dad, thank you for your constant pursuit of me, for reflecting the Father’s character, and for showing me a glimpse of His love.
For all of you who don’t have mother and father figures in your life, reach out to the Father. He says “come home, my child” with open arms, every second of everyday.
